Why do we share stories?

I’ve been writing my whole life, but it was only after reading birth stories during my pregnancy that I truly understood the life-changing power of sharing our personal stories.

Of course, the moment I shared my own birth story, an editor told me, “…some details are simply too personal for strangers to absorb, and do not need to be shared outside of one’s loving family.”

I don’t agree.

In this newsletter, I’ll write honestly about what it’s like to build a career on telling personal stories, how it feels to be vulnerable for an audience of both strangers and loved ones.

I’ll also keep you up-to-date with my writing on Medium, always with free-access friends links.

Thanks so much for your support!
